Injuries Reported in Multiple Seattle Crashes

Car AccidentSeveral people were injured in what turned out to be a busy afternoon for Seattle fire and emergency crews.

The first of three accidents happened at 42nd and Findlay. Officials say airbags deployed in one car and one person was transported to the hospital. The second crash involved three vehicles. That injury accident happened at 35th SW and SW Thistle. The third car accident happened at Delridge and Henderson. No major injuries were suffered in the final crash, but the two vehicles were badly damaged when they collided at the intersection. Read the rest »

Downtown Seattle Electrical Accident Leaves Workers with Severe Burns

Two Seattle City Light employees suffered burn injuries recently in an accident on the 1600 block of 7th Avenue. The workers were inside an electrical vault beneath an office building on the block when the accident took place, according news reports.  

An electrical arc from a piece of equipment caused them both to suffer burn injuries. Seattle Fire Department rushed both workers to a nearby hospital. They are currently reported as being in satisfactory condition. Read the rest »

Port Orchard Woman Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver

Hit and RunA 64-year-old grandmother walking in front of her home was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver. The fatal car accident happened along Victory Drive Southwest in Port Orchard. She was found unconscious on the ground and pronounced dead the next day at Harborview Medical Center.  Read the rest »

Renton Motorcycle Officer Injured in Head-On Crash

According to a Q13 Fox news report, the motorcycle accident happened in Renton on Lind Avenue SW. Officials say the head-on collision happened when a Subaru Outback was starting to make a turn. The motorcycle officer suffered bone fractures and will need surgery. It’s unclear if the driver of the Subaru will face charges. Investigators don’t suspect that alcohol or drugs lead to the crash.
