Bothell Woman Killed on Highway 2

The passenger in the Tahoe was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to Evergreen Hospital in Monroe. The 28-year-old driver of the Mazda was not injured, but his 30-year-old passenger was hurt. The cause of the crash is under investigation and charges are pending.
There are many reasons why a vehicle may cross the center-line and enter oncoming traffic. Investigators often have to question witnesses, take photos from the crash site, and examine the vehicle and roadway for clues. While some wrong-way accidents result from defective auto parts and dangerous roadway conditions, the majority of these collisions are the direct result of driver negligence. Speed, alcohol, fatigue, and distraction are among the most common contributing factors in wrong way and head-on collisions.
The family of a Washington car accident victim can seek financial compensation for their losses by filing a wrongful death claim. A wrongful death claim is a civil lawsuit that allows family members to pursue support for losses such as:
- Medical bills
- Funeral and burial costs
- Lost wages the victim would have earned
- Loss of support and consortium
- Other related damages
Not all fatal crashes result in successful wrongful death claims. If you have lost a loved one in a fatal Washington crash, it is important that you contact an experienced Seattle car accident attorney who will help you seek and obtain fair compensation for your losses.
