Washington State Patrol Trooper Injured in Motorcycle Accident
A Washington State Patrol trooper suffered severe injuries in a motorcycle crash on Highway 9 in Clearview recently, according to an article in the Everett Herald. He has been able to speak briefly to his family but is still in the intensive care unit in a local hospital, according to the Washington State Patrol. He has been a trooper with the state patrol for the past two decades.
The trooper was riding his motorcycle along Highway 9 when he crashed with a minivan, which had stopped to avoid another vehicle trying to turn left off the highway onto 172nd Street. The minivan’s driver and two passengers, all Kirkland residents, were not injured in the motorcycle crash in Washington. Rescue workers rushed the state trooper to a local medical center to stabilize him, then took him to Harborview Medical Center for additional care. He is expected to recover, but may require a great deal of rehabilitation and assistance before his recovery is complete. Read the rest »
