Pedestrians Struck in Seattle’s University District
Two teenagers were injured in a Seattle car accident when a car struck them near an intersection. According to a news report in The Seattle Times, the pedestrian accident occurred near Brooklyn Avenue Northeast and Northeast Campus Parkway in Seattle’s University District. Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused this collision. One of the two women suffered a serious head injury and the other has been listed in stable condition.
According to the Washington Department of Transportation, pedestrians accounted for 12.1 percent of all traffic deaths and 11.2 percent of all serious injuries between the years 2006 and 2010.
