Pedestrian Injured in Seattle Hit-and-Run Crash

A man who was recently attempting to elude police officers struck a pedestrian and fled the scene on foot. According to The Seattle Press Intelligencer, the hit-and-run accident occurred along Third Avenue near University Street in Seattle. Officials pulled over a gold-colored Chrysler for violating peak hour restrictions. During the stop, the driver failed to produce any form of identification. He then sped off before further action could be taken.

The authorities say that the driver then made a turn from the wrong lane against a red light and struck a pedestrian. He then successfully eluded officers on foot. The pedestrian suffered a broken leg. The authorities are still searching for the driver. Officials describe the suspect as a six-foot-tall, African-American man in his 20’s. Read the rest »
