west seattle fatal accident
A 43-year-old man was killed when the truck in which he was traveling struck a car and rolled over. According to a news report in The Seattle Times, the fatal accident occurred at Delridge Way Southwest and Southwest Kenyon Street in West Seattle. Officials say the 43-year-old driver was under the influence when he drove through a red light and struck another vehicle. The passenger in the bed of the truck was thrown from the vehicle and killed. The article states that the driver is a repeat DUI offender who was driving on a suspended license. He is being held in jail in lieu of $1 million bail.
Drunk driving is a serious issue that continues to plague the state of Washington.
